Date of Hike: 5/3/2009
Trail Conditions: Trails in good condition with minimal ammounts of mud until just after the eyebrow trail junction. Then packed monorail until the ledge where you can see the summit. After that the snow gets deeper and much more punchy and only got worse through the afternoon sun. Stay on the monorail or you will be thigh deep. Myself and one friend did minimal postholing, but our more ruggedly built buddy had a harder time. Water crossings were no trouble at all.
Special Equipment Required: Gaiters and poles a definite, or you'll be a flailing mess with tons of snow in your boots. Brought snowshoes, but barebooted the whole way.
Comments: Great day out. Only a few people on the trail.
