Cool. You will have to pick out a choice solo and maybe we can come up a couple of sassy choruses for you and Sue to do as well. Sherp's neighbor's son in law (Joe Farren) usually sings/plays and he is a pro, writes a lot of his own stuff and has a God given voice - sounds like a young James Taylor! I know it's a looong way off, but you'll need to decide where to pitch your tent by second week of June. Only the chosen few (includes you) have the option of tenting across from Sherp's - closer, but noisier. The quieter campground a 1/4 mile walk away fills pretty fast also. If you have never been to Sherp's cabin (Hogan Pond Maine) in summer you are in for a treat - idyllic lake setting w/ excellent hiking not too far - Grafton Notch, etc - and the best homemade ice cream in the world right up the road...

Aaakk, couldn't find your profile cause i wuz lookin under 'mardi' D'oh! anyhoo, same thing i said to SueB, mark your calendar for Sherp's bash last weekend of July. And let us know if and when it is a for sure for you. I generally spearhead picking the tunes (w/ Sherp & Townie) and we want to include you. We will do a better job of music making than last weekend - everyone was kinda in need of a release and we all got a lil mo buzzed than usual...

Ouch! I haven't hiked since Lincoln + Lafayette. I have two options for this weekend though and I hate having to decide - one is Twins + Galehead and the other is Zealand + Bonds. The latter is still iffy. Gonna be another cold weekend.

I do have one totally unrelated question I've been meaning to ask you. I was thinking of joining the Feb. 28 AMC hike to Baldpate. Are you the person that I should register with? Mardi! It has been a while, hasn't it? Congratulations on finishing your 48. I was really bummed that I was unable to join you... but we should remedy that by trying to hike together again soon. I was bitten by the winter hiking bug this past Saturday on Moosilauke. Okay, so it's not technically winter, but there was snow on the ground and it was exceedingly cold!
