  • Thanks for the greenie. And I have a Nat'L park volunteer hat for you. Next time we meet up for trail work or if my wife and I visit the upper valley I'll buzz you.
Hi Jason. I just saw a question from you in my user cp page regarding the "Bears Den" thread from April- yes it was with Ben & Andy Timmins (NHF&G bear biologist), who Lindsay works with with NHF&G. As you saw from the pics a lot of people were invited- luckily Lindsay & Andy has an earlier private long visit with them to enjoy cookies and coffee.

I seem to not have a handle on where stuff pops up on this forum and happen to only be able to stumble on messages!
Fun to bump into you and your family at Moosilauke. We decided to do a longer loop and had a great day. Meant to mention that I hiked the section of Hurricane Trail from Carriage Road to Glencliff. It was rougher and longer than we thought, but enjoyed it, just the same. We love exploring!
I think I'm just going to hike in from Bennett St and follow the RR. I'll just try to hit all the logging camps and mark them with my new nifty GPS. Do it as a long day-trip. If time permits I'll try to get up to Lost Pass from the south. Probably do it as solo as it is special interest only to me and other oddballs like you. Enjoy your new job!!!
Hi Jason ... Are you still interested in hiking up around flat Mt Pond to explore RR camps etc? I've been studying my maps again with a view to going up there. Also would like to explore RR's around Owls Head, but no idea when this might happen. I'm also trying to plan some trips to Maine this year to finish NE67 and chip away at NEHH. Maybe we could schedule a trip up to Marty's place?
Canceled my meetup subscription - dislike the notices and crazy amount of people they sign up for hikes (30+). Still on for Sat. and Sun though. .. chris
www(dot) roguehoe (dot) com I have the one with a curved handle and a pick on the end. Although admittedly I don't have much use for the pick but its nice to have.
I'm in for camping at the summit and assisting with clearing the next day. We'll need a lift back to where I'd be parking for the Saturday trip. I'll have my double bit and rogue hoe with me.
    Hi Jason,
Not positive on camping at summit yet but if I do (I'll confirm soon) I would def. help you on the other section. If I recall there is a leanto, right?
reservationist, be the voice of the AMC by making telephone bookings for their lodgings. Will also do hospitality stuff in Joe Dodge Lodge/trail info as well...many hats this summer!

I think he used to live in Whitefield, and worked for Bethlehem PD.
I believe he works for Sugar Hill PD now.
I went to high school with him.
