Wild River Road and Campground closed for months

The Wild River Campground has a loyal following of campers. With the road closed access to the Wild River in general has just gotten more challenging although I wonder how accessible the road is with a bike? I expect this may screw up some folks Memorial day plans.

Kilkenny Loop road just normally does not get a lot of use despite being a nice area, only one official trail, landing camp trail, on the entire loop.

That is a real bummer. Didn't they just do some road improvements in there a few years ago? I guess there is not much you can do when a river of that size runs out of that valley and you have rains like we had this past year. Love that area. Only camped at the actual campground twice but I hike in there every year. Adds quite a lengthy road walk getting to access the trailheads (which would still be preferable to the Highwater Trail in my opinion )
