Sandwich Mt Trail is known to be icy, as it has many wet spots. It has some steep / ledgy sections that will more than likely have ice on them. YakTrax are made for flat / low level hill walking. I doubt they would be of much use on the descent on the Sandwich Mt trail. Hillsounds or Microspikes would be much better gear for this trail. Hate to see you get into trouble. Enjoy
