Have you done Baldpate or Breadloaf and Wilson? My husband has pneumonia and I am looking for company hiking this weekend.

Glad you had fun on Cannonball. It was a nice day to hike (they both were). We will be volunteering at the desk at Pinkham this weekend and hope to hike up to Huntington or Tuckermans (we get a break in the afternoon). Have you hiked Goose Eye yet? There is an AMC trip - I can give you the particulars if you are interested. It's in June.

Where do you live? Northwood? How long a drive was that? Pico is on my list too (you know that though). Nancy may be good for this weekend? FYI as you are on the herdpath you parallel a slide (I guess the path used to go on the slide). It is very steep but no worse than Owlshead. If you want a good trip report google "its not about the hike, Nancy is a geek." When I read that I figured it was REALLY steep but it wasnt as bad as they indicate. Our planned hike up Sandwich this weekend has been postponed so I am poking around for another peak closer to home and found Mt. Israel. Have you hiked it in the winter? I am wondering what it is like and if the road to the Mead Camp is open and plowed (I see on NEtrailconditions that it was in January).

Well... as you can imagine - I've still been working on finishing the house... most rooms are finished and the light is at the other end of the tunnel. That said... very little hiking, but did plenty of ski/boarding (wonder why the house is still waiting). Mary Jo and I spent some time recently in Florida and are heading out west to PHX and LAS to visit friends. I think I have pictures posted on Webshots from the hike - or maye just on my camera.
