Sounds like a good idea, Michael. I think I'd like to spend the night at the Kinsman Pond Shelter next time. I was kicking myself for not doing it this time, what with the super moon and all.
Thanks MJ. That was my first time to Roger's Ledge. It's one of those things that's been on the list for a long time. Spring, while I'm waiting for the snows to melt up high, is my favorite time for doing that type of hike. I loved it. And talk about isolated. Except for a few fresh foot prints near Unknown Pond we saw only coyote and moose tracks all day long and didn't see anyone. It was so fascinating to watch Lauky in action as he would stop and stiffen and smell into the wind or examine with his nose a twig sticking out over the trail. Loved it. It was a great day.
