  • Kim, thanks so much for your comments. I never really sit down and write much so things like that helped. Hope to run into you at a gathering or out and about some time.
Hey Kim..many of ther 52wav are excellent although somewhat shorter hikes..Some great spots though and Paugus is worth the trip..pretty much wilderness out there..thanks for the greenie
How was the Davis Path in general besides the trip down from near Crawford? I have Isolation as my last 48 and was thinking of doing the whole range from 302 and out glen boulder. BTW I stole your avatar idea. Gray Jays are something else.
iso is a good destinayion with a great flag and viewing area..plus the fact the dave bear carries up the stove and kichensink for munchies,,,..we were a rather sedate group in the fog though micheal j singing had everyine ti their feet...oh..and thanks for the greenie
whats that saying..may the bird of paradise land on your head..or something...congrats on isolation for flags we were lost in the fog on Madison..though well stocked with goodie.s...hike on
thanks for the greenie -- its such a great event, glad you could particpate again this year!
    madison was pretty cloudy...but..
Hi Adventurous, congrats on Isolation! That's a serious hike for Flags. Everyone else treated us just fine, and 99.9% of the folks were very respectful and appreciated. It was just that one group and that one horrible man. I probably should have left it out of the TR. I wrote about it because it was just so bizarre. And the man who spoke had hiked up, he didn't ride the Cog or Auto, which made it all the more bizarre...wouldn't have expected that from a hiker. Anyway, the rest of the day was great. Wished it would have been clearer so I could have seen your flag on Iso!
I think they had perhaps JUST opened Precipice, so recently that we'd not heard about it/assumed it'd be closed and didn't bother trying. Sounds like a GREAT reason to return. I enjoyed your pics and report!
The Travelers definitely are a challenging hike, but probably felt more so because we did it from Russell Pond! Awesome exposed ridge - you'll love it! I've been to Acadia a couple of times now and loved the hiking and kayaking....hope to get back again soon :)
thanks for the greenie..I sure have enjoyed reading about your adventurous adventures this season..great job!!
    kim,
i could probably be convinced to give the loop another go, but no time soon!
"Wonder if Mookie saw the moon...heard it was pretty full " Are you trying to imply something here??? :)
Yes, it was a cool trip! And you can go up from the Marshall side if you really want some pain! :D I like the avatar, wish I was there!
