Suggestions for Backpack for Photo Equipment

In those photos, it is a LowePro Topload Zoom 1: http://products.lowepro.com/product/Topload-Zoom-1,2051,8.htm I take the shoulder strap off and put the carabine through the plastic clip that the shoulder strap is normally clipped to: I also do it with the Topload Zoom AW, which is a bigger...

Suggestions for Backpack for Photo Equipment

I use a normal backpack for my hiking gear and then hang a Lowe Pro top load zoom bag off of the hip belt. I put a carabiner through a clip on the camera bag and then clip it on a side strap of the backpack. That keeps the camera bag on your side. Otherwise it will just keep sliding down to the...

MJ, judging buy this other thread ,you seem to have changed your position over time: http://forums.alpinezone.com/18870-banana-trail.html#post196394 You seem to be very distant from your prior viewpoint that trail cutting and map making should get someone "thrown in the poke". What made you...

    12,000 Ossippee acres closed

I disagree. Granting public access does not mean the public can go in and cut trails and do whatever else they want. What was allowed under the $1.4 million was clearly stated in the agreement. What can be done as a result of user abuse is also clear in the agreement. The sign on the right...

In looking at the sign above on the right, the DRED logo is on the bottom right of the sign. Presumably the the DRED approved the sign and agreed with the action of posting them. Closing the land to public access to conserve the property's natural resources seems to meet the original agreement...

    12,000 Ossippee acres closed

It is difficult for the public to determine exactly what the problems have been on that land and who has been causing / engaging in those problem activities. The one thing that seems to be clear to me is that the primary thing that matters in this situation is the opinions of the land owners...

    12,000 Ossippee acres closed

OK, the information on the Ossipee Mountains Forest Legacy Tract is interesting. Now what about the other 60% of the land that has been closed? Who are the land owners of those 7000 acres and what deal do they have with the state? One of many does not make a case. Agree that is is probably...

    12,000 Ossippee acres closed

You are exactly right, they are the land owners and that is it. Period. In this country, unlike China (as you mentioned), a person can own land and it is their private property. They have the right to post it no tresspassing and close it to the public. In some cases they can choose to get a...

After reading that article I am leaning toward the British method of guilty until proven innocent. The problem is he is not talking so it is tough to be proven innocent if you don't even try. Of course, one person that is guilty with out a doubt is rocket21 for still leaving the map up on his...

    The 10 essentials (Ocean Kayaking)

Oh snap. I knew I was forgetting something. :D - darren ps: oh yah...one thing goes without saying, but I guess if you are new to ocean kayaking, then maybe it needs to be said. You need to check a tide chart and plan accordingly. Better to go with a current than end up trying to make...

Wow, maybe some people now understand what the word "private" in "private land" means. Respect is the first word of the day. Use it and get leeway in return. That should be common sense. - darren
