Okay Pamola and Marchowes, I will plan to go to Moat after hiking on Saturday. I am not sure what I will be hiking so I don't know how late it will be. Maybe around 7 or so? I'll try to get the rest of the group to go too.

I was on Balsam on Saturday...just down the road at McKenley Hollow. I too wore stabilicers for the first time. I put them on for the way down mostly to try them out. I really liked them for coming down the steep section.

You wouldn't have to stay in Baxter...there are certainly campgrounds outside the park that might work. Who knows...maybe it would be timed just right for my finish...that would be cool. Of course, NH would be a little easier for more people to get to. 52 and counting....
