    Music at Gathering 9.5

If the decision is amp or beer...you can bring the amp and buy beer later. :-) So you're going to play with yourself and do a Hawaiin love song...hmmm...I can't bring myself to go further. I'm looking forward to the gathering and hearing some great music.

    Vandalism at Whites Trail head

TMax and I pulled into the 19 Mile Brook Trail parking area this morning and saw that a van had all the windows smashed in on one side. There was gear still in the van so it looks like it was just vandalism and not theft. Besides, you only need to smash one window to get into the vehicle...

    Carrigan but NOT Vose Spur

Sorry about that... I guess I stressed that a little too much! I have never done Vose Spur from Carrigain, but I have heard that it is pretty thick and difficult and not too many people do it that way. Vose Spur will just have to wait for some other trip to the Whites ... I know ... it is so...

Heading for the Cats this weekend.....

I will be near by....leading a views and brews hike to Gertrude's Nose in the Gunks on Saturday and then volunteering on Overlook on Sunday so I'll be in the Cats, but none of the "required" peaks. You could try posting on the 3500 club yahoo group if you want some company.

    "Laboring" in the Whites

Congrats TMax! As long as it was only the webs and not the spiders then that is okay. And I agree it is better for you to not use your poles for the webs :-) So you got 5 done....you're under the 20 mark now, right??? Workin' the plan :D

    Lafayette, Lincoln, Liberty, and Flume

TMax and I did the same hike back in June. She said she didn't want to go back up Liberty...why not just go down? I had been up the Flume Slide trail so I knew what I was in for, but I still agreed to do it. I had been looking forward to getting back on the Franconia Ridge...it's a great...

Hi Jay, I'm very sorry to hear about your sister. It certainly makes you relish every moment. I totally understand the need for the hike to help in dealing with this kind of situation. Now you have me interested in getting over to Storm King. I was on Taurus Mountain after work yesterday...

Kayaking the Fire Towers ( St. Regis 7/24, Azure 7/27 ) and Adirondack Woman!

Nice TR Phil! Yes, I really should get out there and do some kayaking. I have always enjoyed it. Howling at the full moon on a quiet lake is certainly nice :-). What a good idea to combine the fire towers with kayaking. Have fun in Acadia...it's a great place! Hope all is well...
