Well the hike is off, my friend rolled his ankle at work a few days ago and it’s not fit for the trail. So it looks like we’ll probably be going in 2-3 weeks now, hopefully we’ll still need snowshoes instead of spikes because I like ‘shoeing better!

I think I’ll just bring my 30” MSRs & tails for myself, my partner (a little lighter than me) can choose between my 30” GVs or 27” Garneaus. We’ve broken a lot of trail but always on flat or rolling terrain, so tomorrow may be much more strenuous than we’re expecting!

I have to agree with Woodsville being on the list. It really went downhill after Ameses closed.

Has anyone hiked this since the latest nor’easter? A friend & I are planning it on Sunday and any info about snow depth & conditions so we know which snowshoes to bring would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Don’t forget the 6’ or so ladder a little before you hit the tree line. The snow may or may not be drifted against the rock the ladder climbs.
