    AMC sign Auction

It's actually AMC. The Auction price of just one of those signs is close to 5% of The RMC's whole operating budget.

I get where your coming from. If you go look at The Gondala Scene from the Movie “Hot Dog” everything was exploding.

Then it would only stand to reason to consider the other variables at play. Which are many which support replacing an old helmet.

I agree but there is room for interpretation IMO. There are other factors involved when it is definitely time to retire a helmet IMO. See my post above. I guess I'm also in the camp of being safe than sorry and not worrying about spending a buck every once in a while, on protective headwear. One...

Is it not possible that it was the combination of improper traction and not having protective headwear. I would say there is a high probability of Head Trauma involved with this accident. I agree most folks don't need Helmets while hiking but this gentleman was off trail on an icy slide scouting...

Unfortunately the existence of politically charged issues were allowed to happen if not even created by former Moderators even when they were challenged by members not to do so. The Ship has sailed and without the existence of any moderation currently that Ship is going down wind fast.

The article stated he was in the Coppermine Brook Drainage which is where The Coppermine Trail lies. If he was not on the trail I would suspect he was not too far from it as he was found promptly. Sounds like he might have been underpowered with micro spikes. NE side of the mountain. That...

Recycle and put gear on consignment. It makes being a gear junky a bit easier or at least one can rationalize the addiction.

    Crampon Fit Issue

An article from Alpinist suggests The Petzel Irvin. Again a multipoint toe piece. Scroll down in this article and you will see a picture of it. These are nice looking boots. Not to brag but I have experience fitting crampons for over 40 years and also responsible for selling them with a good fit...
