Calling All Two Plankers, Free Heelers and Knuckle Draggers

OK...cool :) However, I don't really "slay the terrain". In fact, my term for riding mogles is "carressing the bumps". I don't conquer anything out there, I meld with it.....don't judge me ;)

just a friendly reminder to all...(ok, nagging ;) ) This truck is on diplsy in front of the fire station in Gorham. Imagine if it was a little compact car?!!!! Yikes! Moose are especially skitso this time of year, running around full of hormones, looking for mates. Let's all be extra...

    Whitewall Mtn. on October 10th

Beautiful views toward Carrigain Notch from the open ledges on the summit The descent of the slide was tricky. We had a much harder time. We both had a boulder roll onto our feet. First Becca had one pinning her foot but she was able to remove it and had no injury other than superficial...

    Whitewall Mtn. on October 10th

BeccaM and I hiked Whitewall Mtn. via the slide that intersects the Ethan Pond Trail. There was a nice young cow moose holding court at the Silver Cascade area Ethan Pond Tr. looking up the slide from the EPT This is the 4th or 5th time for me on this route. I noticed that...

Glorious Autumn Day! Carter Dome and Mount Hight 10/8/11

Kevin, another awesome album! Thanks for sharing! Agree with DP bigtime. Being a list peak means massive traffic volume. The fact that Mt. Height is not on the 4k list is a blessing. The fact that it is reached by a spur loop off of the main trail is another blessing. If not for the spur...

BeccaM finishes the Grid! October 8th

Yaaaaaaaaaaay Becca!!!!!!! Becca finished her Grid on Mt. Adams. The mission was nearly aborted for a second time due to another dicey weather forecast (last Saturday was rained out). She only decided to go for it that morning, despite high winds in the forecast. We ascended through...

    death march to Albany Mtn.

Mark, thanks! Yes it was just a little freindly *** at Becca :) And about the wilderness, not denegrading the idea of keeping things undeveloped, just noting that these out of the way areas much more closely match the description of wilderness. IMO, the way to experience this is to go to...
