Snow (cup), N. Kennebago Divide and Whitecap, Elephant the second day. Not much to say, except that the road conditions are excellent (Tim Pond, Wiggle, Lincoln, Morton cut-off etc). We had an Ford Edge, but my Yaris would have been just fine. We saw a lot of people fishing, and I was wearing...

I've been there, I know how pretty the area is... But I have to admit, your pictures are amazing, and bringing a kid up there must be a totally different experience. I love it !

Sometimes flagged route lead to very thick and crappy woods, and ends in the middle of nowhere. I'm pretty sure someone thought that was funny, but we didn't ! (Unofficial trail on obscure peak in Maine).

I know people who does bushwhacks only, they hate trails. They don't even do peaks, they just enjoy the forest. Some are searching for birds, hunting deer or moose, others are looking for mushrooms. Just trying to get to a specific pond (or base of a slide ;)) can be fun. Of course, they stick...
