Climbing/hiking with Mobile Devices – Should It Be Required?

Soon we will not have to question ourselves about this, because all legal citizens will have a chip, a phone, a GPS and a hard drive implanted inside their body (and a headlamp maybe ?) If I'm still alive when that happen, I'll probably escape in the Northern Territories and die there...

Mt. Pemigewasset Trail Work with Trailwrights

It was a very fun day, I worked hard (it doesn't look like it on the pics, but I swear I had sore muscles the day after !). ...and what to say about the amazing food treat we got at the Indian Head Resort, thanks to Gene for making that happen !!! We'll come back again for more work next year...

Borah Pk, Highpoint of Idaho. 07-29-2010 (A late TR)

A lot of snow, but no glacier remains I believe. You'll be just fine, from what I know you did I have no doubt you can easily do that. It's a little bit exposed, but the moves are easy. We saw two middle age women up on the Chicken Out Ridge, with their 10 or 12 years old sons... What was...

Borah Pk, Highpoint of Idaho. 07-29-2010 (A late TR)

I got very lazy lately, and today I realized I never posted a TR for our day hike up Borah Pk, last highpoint of our summer vacations. We didn't ''Chicken Out'' on the ridge, but there was some moments I stopped breathing :o Overall it's a beautiful mountain, very fun to climb. A lot of people...

Highpoint : Montana. Granite Peak (12799’) Southwest Couloir- July 24th 2010

I'm pretty sure it's the same couloir, we gathered info from many previous TR's including the two you mentionned. I was wondering how much the snow can make a couloir steeper... A mountain goat yes, but a dog ? No way !!!!!!!!!

Highpoint: Utah. Kings Pk (13 528 ft). July 20, 2010

No moose, and unfortunitely we did see a lot of people there. On our way out we passed by at least 20 people, many young guys guided trips, boy scouts kind of. The chute was a totally new experience for me. Fun, but really tough on the knees !

Highpoint: Illinois. Charles Mound (1235 ft). August 7, 2010

What a journey for the girls. I'm sure they learn a lot about their country, much more than if you were just travelling the highways and visit the tourist's stuff. When we did Idaho's HP (TR coming up soon) we stop to eat in Arco, and had an Atomic Burger (Pickle's Place). We asked where that...
