I use a green fine-tipped pen for correcting/grading ..... Could be something there??? How about a green star sticker? That definitely weaves green and the idea of "you get a star!" together ..... I actually kind of like that one :D

    paw print identification

Pads in coyote tracks would tend to appear much "tighter". This might change due to the substrate, like if due to mud, the pads became splayed, but I still don't think they would appear this widely spaced. Domestic dog, as it is definitely canid.

The...

Just got your message; you seems to have some idea about how I feel about this matter, Sabrina :D. I find it intersting that I got a friend request based on what I felt was a bit of a snarky, but truthful, observation that I made. I think there are others on the forum that think the way you...

    snakes (in NH)

Great thread and fun pictures everyone; thanks for sharing. I really like the predator-prey shot, Chris, even though Red-bellies are one of my favorite New England species and I hate to see one becoming food :o. I was involved in some field work long ago with a professor who was doing a study...

help! recommendations for water shoes needed

Keen used to make a simple paddling shoe which they discontinued. I was able to find them at TJMaxx a couple of summers ago for $25 and I use them all the time when I kayak and sometimes for stream crossing when hiking as well. I have no idea if they can still be found at this point. I did a...

What was Marlin Perkin's sidekick's name?

I'm sure this has a lot to do with my personality, but this thread feels like a dare :p ... I head to Midcoast Maine next week and I'm thinking it might be time to visit Frohock Mountain, in the Camden Hills, where goshawks allegedly nest. I would never get too close purposefully, but I WILL...

    Wolf killed in New Brunswick

Adding to the intrigue here, at least in looking at wolf populations potentially becoming established in New England, are 2 related issues. First, while reintroduction is called for when it is determined that Endangered Species in former ranges could biologically hold such populations in...

Re: places for a walk in the Exter, NH area It seems to me that it should only take about 20 minutes to get to Rye, NH from Exeter, though I wouldn't dare give you directions because you would surely get lost! :o Along Route 1 in Rye you will find lovely beaches/state parks, including Odiorne...
