The Hancocks in Less Than 19 Hours

You say that like they automatically go together. I had mentioned it to not for any route info, I could give a sh*t, it was more about what was the plan and estimated time compared to what happened.

It doesn't count ;) if your talking about 2k hills covered in wide open hardwoods that have all dropped their leaves!

Kaaterskill High Peak( Catskills ) and ruins of old Tory Fort 11-29-10

I did close to the same route (but over Roundtop and Kat) from there early in spring. I thought the one trail was going to take me directly to the loop it went so far in. I saw a lone black bear just past the gate and then a mother with two cubs down the long woods road on the hike in.

There was a ft of crusty snow above 4k late Sunday. Many trails are packed down to more common destinations though.

Which car would you recommend for remote bushwhacking?

Here is the thread, I was shocked it was from 07 because I think of it as recent too. I think the "people telling you to buy whatever vehicle they own" thing also represents the fact that there is a lot of ways to go that will all "work".

Which car would you recommend for remote bushwhacking?

I agree too. I don't have one but this was the route I was about to go because I just went through the same thing with my car. I came across a great deal on a Chevy S-10 though and went with that for the time being.

    Training with barefoot running

Me too! I've long thought the idea of having croc type bottoms (interior) to a trail runner would be awesome. They seem to have covered a lot of ideas with them, like wider with height is key. The one, possible, bad thing about them I could see is the durability of the treads, regardless of...
