Dude, I did the same thing to the other knee a few months ago. Sigh. I have always thought the 'Missing Piece' image was very poetic. I am a sucker for animals, especially kitties, so Dr_Wu000's poor Mr. Tappy is still my favourite. How about: Category - best action shot 1. King Tut

    Gulf of Slides - 4/26/08

Glad to see you guys had an awesome day :) Those smiles say it all. The approach up the GoS trail was heinous enough when I was there 2 weeks ago - we skied Gully #1 (that slide left quite a trail of destruction!) once then booted back up and headed over to Hillman's Highway as our descent route.

Colden Trap Dike, Ski SE slides 3/29

You mean you really were at Whiteface and not Iceface? Nice. :D It was a day of contrasts - the tele skier was originally going to do the West Ramp slide but overtook us on the SE Slide saying the ramp was very icy. Hmm, sketchy steep ice or gentle corn snow, so hard to decide.....

    Yale Gully - Huntington Ravine

You guys had great weather, Giggy - nice reporting! I was sorry not to be there but we were enjoying similar sunshine and corn snow in the Daks. Did anyone else forget to put on sunblock and now have burnt red face and neck? :D

Colden Trap Dike, Ski SE slides 3/29

I should have known that the 'Ski to Die' guys would have skied the Trap Dyke - I read about them in Adirondac Life magazine a few months ago. They were adventurous and fearless. This the link to the article Ski to Die

And then there is the rumoured (mythical?) ski descent of the Trap Dyke!

Last year's Trap Dyke avalanche was exactly what was on my mind!! Thanks for the extra details. And photos!! We are kicking around various weekend options and looking at weather, etc. Beacons, probes, shovels, etc. will be on the packing list tonight.

That must have been a great trip! Makes me want to see more photos. Did you solo up the Trap Dyke with ice tools? I am heading up to do some Daks slides this weekend, cannot wait.
