    Peak Above the Nubble 1/15

From Seven Dwarfs across to Haystack Rd and up "Herd Path". Trail unbroken. 12"-15" inches of snow, but fluffy not horrifically difficult. Snow shoes the whole way up and down. Snow actually made for a pleasant ascent and descent. Went around rock cleft to right to avoid, seemed to be...

    Horn, Bulge, Cabot 1-9-2010

Unknown Pond to Bunnell Notch loop. UNP was previously broken for a good bit of the way. Lost broken trail at a stream crossing, made our way up the stream, then picked up the actual trail again but didn't see evidence of old snowshoe prints at that point. Sparely blazed in this region. Snow...

    Weeks 1-8-2010

Via York Pond out and back. Good snow conditions. Party of five (Chinook, MEB, Drew,Pa) broke trail, but not horribly difficult. Breakable crust, but didn't sink too deep in most place. Some blowdowns but easy to negotiate. Lost trail for short period a couple time, but overall fairly easy...

Otis makes lots of new friends on Moosilauke

    Everest Base Camp Trek

Photo 17 made me look a couple of times to figure it out. With the prayer flags right there is threw off the scale for me at first. My initial reaction was a picture of apuddle with the little pieces of trash, huh, ok that's too bad. Then I figured out...those are tents!!!! Nice...

Save the date: Saturday November 6, Pat and Audrey's potluck

Shizz does have a bit of a reputation for enjoying cuddling with the critters, I'd like to think you raised Geneva right though :D but then again you can't always monitor exactly what the fuzz ones are up to now can you.....

    cooper lodge Killington

I stayed there years ago, before they moved the LT and backcountry skiing was all the rage. It was nice back then, but now its pretty much trashed. Pico camp is a much better choice these days for sure.

    Strange Verticle Dreams Wed 10th‏

Meeting 5:30-6:00pm. Will climb until we are satisfactorily tired from our efforts or embarrassed by our lack of talent. Then we'll head to Strange Brew to revel in our accomplishments or drown our sorrow :p Advance olive skewering techniques will be demonstrated.

    Vertical Dreams Climbing 11/2

Umm yeah, all climbing gyms are disappointing and if I actually took indoor climbing seriously I would probably be disappointed.... In general grades in them are irrelevant and/or pointless. It's all contrived IMO. Fortunately for me I generally don't care where the tape is either. I go up...

    when nature calls

On big walls (ie multiday climbs) the courteous ones carry poop tubes (think capped PVC). Not sure if they are mandated in some areas or not. There's the wag bag thingies, and sometimes bombs away..... http://www.supertopo.com/climbing/thread.php?topic_id=65324&msg=804795#msg804795 Some...

Cortisone shot to relieve back pains

Had cortisone, it worked for a little while, then back pain returned. Not the sciatica I had before, but still not fixed. I also ended up with a spinal headache for about a week. They didn't do my shot under Fluoroscopy. That was bad enough that I didn't go for a second shot when they...
