    Tucks or Lion Head?

Lion's Head. Been there, done that. Tuck's would keep you more exposed for a longer period.

Team Dom Celebration Party this Thursday!!

Christine, somehow I think they'd all rather wait to get the hug directly from you :o, but I'll give it a shot  Giggy ALWAYS pays up, one way or another

Team Dom Celebration Party this Thursday!!

D*mn. I don't have a good excuse not to show up. How about 1% chance of rain? Excessive breeze? Still Hungover from the last party? Yup, that's it: still hungover. I'll be there at 5:01 :o Mats, is that shortly enough after 5:00?

You should see it when it is raining. I literally hit a few spots where the water was running down so fast that it would hit me in the face as it rushed over the improvised water bars. It's all worth it once up on that higher path though. You mentioned "water jar". Is the pitcher still there...

Team Dom Denali Attempt Day by Day

Mats, way too easy. You really ARE from Sweden  A rather appropriate (inappropriate?) name for a mountaineer! Really enjoying the read. Now please finish it - I can't go through another week like the last few ;) Congrats everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!

Marty, swimming on the way back from Stratton Pond is pretty much what I did. Many spots over my knee. But, back to Dorset... You'll like that hike. When you get up to the col before hanging a right toward the summits, it's a nice little spot in the middle of the woods. A real Green Mountain...

    Mount Rainier: June 3-5, 2008

Nice job guys! Whenever I read about Rainier climbs, I get all soft inside. Well done! Now about that last little walk across the crater... good excuse to go back, eh? As far as its technical demands (the crate to the summit), you'd likely have more trouble getting through a mall.

My Subaru made it a long ways up. I know I was near a shack when I parked  It was a dreary rainy day and I found myself laughing at (and talking to) the rain. Still a very satisfying hike. Nearly lost the Subaru on the way down: had it sideways digging for purchase. Marty: Equinox and...

6th annual Adirondack Gathering and BBQ August 7-10

That was the idea. Imagine trying to keep a secret for 3 months when 1/4 of the guests are flying in. She knows...

6th annual Adirondack Gathering and BBQ August 7-10

Ugh Well, I set the weekend aside but it looks like I can't make it (again :( ) I was really hoping to get up there this year. A good friend turned 50 in May and they are having a surprise party for her in Easton, NH on 8/9 (what's up with that? I expected it in May). Frig.

Hmmm... I thought Gail WAS his sophisticated equipment :D Last year he showed up with a pack, a few mics, a guitar, and Gail. As much as I like his music, I enjoyed Gail's company most :). I did speak to him yesterday and he is also taking an amp this year! Speaking of sophisticated equipment...

Excellent news! Of course, it was a bit skewed in Rob's favor: he was actually climbing down from his point of view ;) Hey - maybe Arm can make this weekend's practice :D Congrats to all for a safe (successful) trip, and to Rob "Aussie! Aussie! Aussie!" Now back to my regularly scheduled...

Doug, for once, not necessarily correct. :D Being in the air you ALWAYS have to land. Being on the ground you don't have to take-off. Ok, my nerves are so frazzled that I've taken to intellectual discussion with Doug. So... How is everyone, and who summitted...

Christine, asking first about safety is EXACTLY what we wanted to hear. You have your priorities so right! Besides, it adds to the excitement wondering who summitted. Next time we do this song, it will have new meaning: Come home safely, Team Dom. We're all here waiting for you. With 8,814...

Nilsa, The cabins are rustic. Think of what city folk would do to try to build a lean-to  Basically a lean-to with a screened in porch. Beach sites are ok, but you have to deal with the kids running around at 8:00 AM. I used to have the last site at the end. It earned 2 names: "The...

Christine: thanks so much for the updates! The Bluffs have a vested interest in this team! Chip: they still have 10-11 feet to go to be above Rainier. Lightweights  Good Luck out there!
