Nice report Joe. It must've been wicked to turn you back. I found it particularly unnerving standing on summits in the Presis in high winds. The limited footing , the exposure, and the knowledge that the next blast could send you tumbling scared me.

As it turned out, Mtnlady and I were both at peak #41 and both had Skylight and Gray on our lists to do. So, we made the plan to get these 2 peaks while camping at Flowed Lands. Hike in Friday and camp, “easy day” Saturday getting 2 peaks, camp Saturday, hike out Sunday. Good plan, but of course...

Just a few black flies in the morning at Flowed Lands on Saturday and Sunday mornings(20th,21st). Mosquito's more of a problem at dusk.

Is it too much of a burden to put up a temporary fence around the base of the tree and shoot it when it comes down ? I hate that they shoot animals when they are in a tree.
