Pawtuckaway is awake! Kevin and I hiked through Pawtuckaway this morning. Lots of hepatica is now in bloom, but little else. Found some trillium still in the stalk phase. No bloodroot or anything else in bloom. Found one big Blanding's turtle. Here's the hepatica:

Just a note that my car, and a friends car were smashed across the street from nineteen mile brook last night. From what I've heard from the state police, and a forest service employee...it's not been very common at all this winter...so just lucky I guess. Wierd what was taken...from my car...
