    Chocorua: On a Saturday? 5/30/09

Wonderful TR and a great reminder that I have not been up there yet this year. My favorite route is from Tamworth by the Liberty and Brook Trails to make a nice loop.

    Green Mt. 3536

Great photos! Thanks for the link. I love the old signs and the interesting cairns. Definitely part of the forgotten forest of yore.

    Green Mt. 3536

A quick search led me to your TR from 2008, and also one in Feb, 2009 by 1HappyHIker. So that area has seen lots of activity in the last 10 months. It sounds like a wonderful adventure.:)

    Green Mt. 3536

Many thanks for the info. I will check out the TR. I was sure that someone had been up there, but before I started thinking seriously about it, I wanted to be sure it wasn't a snake pit of some sort.

    Green Mt. 3536

Has anyone ever been up Green Mountain about a mile south of Mt. Tecumseh near Waterville Valley? I assume that it is a shoulder of Tecumseh, and difficult to access. I bet Marc has been up there. Just curious. . . .

    NHHH Official Peaks List?

Somehow the original thread got a little sidetracked, maybe bushwacked. . . .:D But, I am glad you asked this. . . I'm working on a list I got from the web at http://www.nhmountainhiking.com/hike/lists/nh100.html So I am going to ask Keith for an updated copy. I've probably been wacking...

Dickerman report on FTFC annual meeting

I am sorry to hear about the cuts at Salmon Press. I thought I had just missed the weeks that Off the Beaten Track was printed. A loss for the paper and the public. Thanks for the info on Fosters - I take a look there.

Dickerman report on FTFC annual meeting

I've been looking in the local weekly, Record Enterprise, for the article Mike Dickerman usually submits, including annual statistics for the various peak bagging lists. I always love hearing how many of our 4 legged friends managed to complete the 4's in winter! Has anyone seen such an...

    Wounded Pride on Wolf 4-26-09

Good to see you at the FTFC dinner, and big Congrats to you on finishing all those peaks. I don't know if I will ever get over to NY to tackle some of those fine peaks - too many wonderful challenges right here in NH in all seasons. It wasn't really too hard to turn around. Just a good...

    Wounded Pride on Wolf 4-26-09

After attending the FTFC awards ceremony yesterday, I thought I should try to show that I still know how to hike, by heading out today, with my hiking friend, Hufflepuff. The weather was warm and sunny as I left home, early enough, I thought. Headed up the Kinsman Ridge Trail at 8:30, prepared...

I don't know, Rocket. . . . Here we spend all morning breaking trail for you so you can have a sweet sunset hike, and then you go and beat me to the TR!!! Life is tough in the fast lane, or the snow shoe trail. ;) Silverfox, Helen, Karen and I set off on a pleasant winter morning, with the...

Great TR, Mark, Saturday was picture perfect for hiking. You said it, Sabrina: It's all about the people you meet, on the web, on the trail. Jabberwalk

An open letter to a very nice woman

Terrific Post Thanks Dvbl, for the inspiring story. I think the age at which one might be 'amazing' is getting a bit older, as people just forget about their age, and replace the body parts that have worn out! Awesome! How do we tell when that story was written by Dvbl??
