    Pottersville?

The Pottersville school is the Word of Life School now located just beyond the village heading to Olmsteadville. There is a playground across the street. There is another school just beyond Olmsteadville,,,Minerva School where my older brothers and sisters went to High School.

    Gray #42---Skylight #43 6/19/09

Gray #42---Skylight #43 6/20/09 Trails are extremely muddy from Upper Works to Summits. Got pretty tired of puddle jumping, rock hopping and boot sucking  most of the weekend due to the rain from last week. I can't imagine doing these without gators or poles. Water is plentiful and...

Indian Head, Fish Hawk Cliffs 5/23

Trail conditions were great. Stopped briefly for pictures at Rainbow Falls. Only one small blowdown between Indian Head and Fish Hawk. Returned via Gill Brook where we realized just how bad the blackflies were. Stopped a few times but not for long. Water was much lower than I expected. Great...

    Santanoni #41 10/12

Great day for a hike. Trails were not as bad as I anticipated. Some mud but easily avoided. Took the old/new trail and had a small problem at the beginning but after navigating around the small pond in the middle of the trail, we were on our way up, up and up. We left at 7:30 and returned...

    Seward Range 8/30 - 8/31

Hiked to Blueberry lean to Friday night 3.8 miles on a very nice trail. Saturday hiked Seward, Donaldson and Emmons with easily followed trails. Very thick evergreens and from the shower the night before, we were soaked even with rain gear. Long pants or gator a must. Didn't find the marker...

    Redfied and Cliff 8/16

Trails in fairly good condition considering all the rain. Some mud but not what I expected. Cliff was quite slippery and I fell a few times because of the muddy boots climbing before us :D . Filtered water twice. A long hike, approx. 13 hrs, but wonderful rewarding views. Gators and...

Pharaoh Lake via Beaver Pond Rd

Road looked rough to the new trailhead so we decided to park at the first parking area and walk the extra .8 mile due to mud etc. We passed a few people driving out with 4 wheel drives. The trail had some muddy areas that we had to walk around but not bad. There were no bugs. Didn't see many...
