easy 4K where I can see other flags on Flags On The 48

My crew and I will be on Mt. Tom. We are hoping to see flags on the Pressies and some of the Pemi peaks. It's really a crapshoot to plan to see other flags however. We've had the event during some 5-star viewing days and also days where we could not see 15 feet in front of us. I'm...

    eagle scouts

I was in the cub scouts for a couple years. We did go on two father-son camping trips that looking back were quite educational. My interest in hiking was certainly spawned from these trips. I will say that numerous Scout troops particpate in the Flags on the 48 event we hold in September...

New England Trail part four: Metacomet-Monadnock Trail

The M+M is indeed a nice trail. I've done it northbound and the painted over blazes sections are quite frustrating. There have been many relo's over the years and in many spots, the old trail was never concealed.

    Flags on the 48 - 2009 - 09/12/2009

I got final confirmation today. All 48 peaks were covered for Flags on the 48. I'm pretty sure this was our 6th year in a row of getting all 48 covered. Thanks to everyone here who helped out with the event. Every little bit helps. A really big thank you goes to New Hampshire. He...

    Who does trail work?

Co-adopter of Wildcat Ridge trail. Rt-16 to Wildcat D. More than one day but less than five. I very much enjoy working on my adopted trail. Honestly, I wish I lived closer so I could take better care of it.

Huge thanks to everyone involved! It's gonna take me awhile to pass out greenies. Super huge thanks to New Hampshire for all the extra work he did. It can be nerve-wracking but the end result is quite worthwhile.

Our Wildcat D co-ordinator has canceled. We're looking for someone who can do the peak. You can use the tram. If you use the Wildcat Ridge Trail, I can assure you that the trail is in good shape from Route 16.;)
