Bird and I were up there over the weekend. Road is fine all the way to the trailhead. Mud is dried up but the potholes were still huge. Bridges still in one piece (pretty much).
I'm with TR on this one. With the amount of crap Bird has lost over the past few years (jacket, shirts, coffee mugs, nalgene bottles, camcorder, etc.) I have learned that hanging stuff is a sure way to lose your personal belongings :p
Right on Chris! My buddy gets down there quite a bit. Loves it! (He lives in Placid and is very partial to ADK climbing, but he claims its is better than the ADKs!) Thanks for the TR and the pics were swwweeet!
I couldn't have said it any better myself! :) As a kid, I spent alot of time in the woods. My Grandparents lived in the heart of the Tug Hill Plateau and I spent most of my childhood out rompin around on the 'Hill'. Did lots of hiking, fishing, hunting and whatever else a youngster does in...
Right on LZ! Best of luck to ya! Bird and I will be headin' through that area on our way over to Maine. Let us know as the time get closer and maybe we could hook up for a couple of pops :)
It's your chance to be Ebert & Roeper! For those who saw the flicks listed above(this was the lineup at Placid), click on your favorite flick and rate 'em!
