MTNRUNR, I'm hoping to hike Stratton this Friday - Feb 10th, I'll be getting a late start, can't be at the trailhead until 11:30 - 12:00 noon. Would love some company and am interested in the shortest, easiest route, just peakbagging this time around. Let me know if you can make it. donna

The VT Hiker's Guide states: "From the parking area on Kelley Stand Road, follow the LT north for 3.3 miles to the tower". I was hoping to hike this way in. If Kelley Stand Road is closed, what is the best route for me take? I'll be hiking solo. Thanks.

I can't believe I missed your hike on Saturday...I hiked Waumbec, which was also beautiful...now I'm going to have to do this hike solo...maybe this Friday. Good trip report and great pictures.

There's nothing like Baxter It was a great trip as usual...Baxter in winter is awesome...Baxter anytime of year is awesome. I hiked both North and South Brother, but can't count it for any list...got GO to give me a ride out on Sunday...skiing with major blisters just wasn't working for me...

Wow! Sorry I missed this one, sounds like an easy relaxing hike...joke, joke. Like I said, I have to do these all in winter and these are the hikes I only want to do once. I guess I'm just the kind of hiker that likes to relax and enjoy the already used trails...well maybe with an occasional...
