    Old Speck ME current conditions?

    I ended up doing this hike on Sunday May 2 and posted conditions here and over on New England Trail Conditions as well. Could have bare booted the whole way, wore snow shoes for part of the descent.

    Eyebrow, Old Speck (AT), & Mahoosuc Trails Fairly dry down low, wet and standing water in trails with elevation, at 2,800 feet snow pack on trail. Bare booted to summit. Wore snowshoes for descent to approx 2,800 feet. Made the going easier, probably could have bare booted the whole way

    I think I had a religous experience on Mt Adams last week. Just before summiting I felt like I was gonna die but once on the summit I was reborn and had the energy of a 20 year old. (truth is, that describes most of my high summit hikes :p)
