    Crazy Northeast Mountain Hiking Adventure

HI CrazyDave Well, number says everything. Loose weight is to lower the number right? I guess my pants were just at end of their elasticity :) or I just should give up Thanks for pics!

    Crazy Northeast Mountain Hiking Adventure

CrazyDave, Thanks for the nice trip report and the crazy hikes! I told you that you should bear the pain to get HayStack in so you can get your feet the well-deserved kiss. BTW, while we did the same amount of hike and I carried more weight, I didn't loose any pounds! Isn't that unfair?!

Advice needed on pants with crotch-zippers

First, you will find your way with experience, no need to rush for new pants. Though all my guides insisted that I need to take off leg loops (yes, it's valid, and the only allowed way by my guides), I never felt the need to compromise my harness, no matter what kind of pants I was wearing, and...

    Presi Traverse 6/22 or 6/23

Well, it's dangerous to get deranged up there, you could end up going south-north-south-north-south-..., there would never be an end. That would also be confusing for people who are first time up there and are trying to follow your footprints like those following Forest Gump in running. You are...

    Presi Traverse 6/22 or 6/23

I think 30th birthday is a big event, totally worth the effort of seeing both North and South in both daylight and moon light. It makes great pictures, and saves at least an hour's time of moving the extra car.

    Willey Range Conditions?

Willey condition I and Rick hiked Willey Range (Tom, Field, Field, Avalon) on April 5th. There're a couple river crossing at early part of the trail, not a big deal. The whole trail is well covered in deep snow. Well packed in the morning, but become slushy in the afternoon with some...

    Nothern Presidentials on April 6th

Here’s the belated trip report of our so pleasant hiking along Northern Presidentials on April 6th (sorry, I have been busy with rock climbings and the Southern Presidentials between then and now) After some easy strolling in the Willey Range on Tuesday, I stayed at the bunker house of Hiker’s...

    Southern Presis April 9th, Saturday

Just returned from a great day on Northern Presis (trip report to come soon) with Spider, but the southern presis trip was postponed due to unexpected bad weather on Tuesday. The forecast is looking good for the weekend, and I'm excited to go again for the Southern Presis this Saturday. Route...

Presi Range Hiking, week of April 3-9

I'm having next week off, and would like to do as much hiking as possible when weather permits. I'm thinking of doing two partial presi next Tue/Wed (flexible - weather dictates the date, not me): 1. Southern Presi: from Pierce to Washington 2. Northern Presi: From Madison to Jefferson or...
