    Fantastic show from Mother Nature!

Well, what's a boy to do when thunderstorms, lightning, tornado warnings and torrential rain ruins his hiking plans? Why, get in a car and drive out into it of course and hope he's not picked up by a tornado and thrown into Vermont. Here's some shots of the storms from this weekend: clouds over...

    Nepal Trip

Glad you posted this, I'm eager to hear what others have to say as well. We'll be trekking to EBC and Kala Patthar in October. We'll be in Nepal for a month. We won't use guides/porters, but will do a tea house trek as opposed to tent camping to keep the weight down and also as RollingRock...

    Baby bats at Marshfield Station

Hey all, New to this posting thing so I hope this is the right place for this post. We came across a swarm (flock?) of baby bats at Marshfield Station over the weekend and spent some time taking pictures. I thought you might enjoy these. They were tiny, about two inches or so, but only a couple...

Mt Tecumseh 4/25/10 Otis' first 4k hike

Hi Shoes! That was me you chatted with getting ready in the lot. Too bad I didn't get to meet Otis! Snow pack was nice and hard up high when i got there, no issues. Trail is getting soggy though, I prefer snow on Tecumseh to be honest. Great day all around. And I did pass by the four sneaker...

    Would you climb Mt Everest?

Hi Darl, I noticed you were doing Island Peak. I have a friend who did that a couple years ago, that looks amazing! We're not quite ready for that yet! Knowing how sketchy flights are around Lukla, you never know, we may pass each other yet! Will this be your first trip to the Himalayas?
