Excellent, thanks everyone. I didn't realize Resolution has been removed! I really do need to update my White Mountain Guide :D
Stairs Mountain it is then! I'll let you know when I get back!

Never been up there before and am doing an overnight up Davis and down Mt. Parker trails. I know the Resolution Shelter is up there, but am wondering if there's nice (legal) spots around there to toss up a tent. Any info would be helpful, you can PM me if you like. Thanks.

Hi Grouse,
Yeah we've been kicking around Gorham/Shelburne/Evans Notch the past couple weeks and it's just beautiful out there. Plus, we've had the trails nearly to ourselves. Weather permitting, we're going to take a shot at the Balfaces this weekend.

Hi Grouse,
Nice pics! We were up on Cube a couple weeks ago and Smarts sure looked nice! Quick question since you've hiked all the trails. Can a loop be made up Doan Tail and down another is is that trail strictly up and back? Also is there a link someplace for info on Smarts Mountain trails...
Our 52WAV quest continued last weekend with a two'fer, West Royce and Hayes.
Some things worth mentioning... on West Royce, we got lucky and stumbled upon the remains of the old fire tower. I did not realize there was one. The White Mountain Guide makes no mention of it at or near the summit in...
Vignettes and Pics from our three latest 52ers are up. Why didn't anyone tell me the Nash Stream Forest was so amazing! Must go back and explore.

I got an email from Kim Nilsen who said the Percy Loop Camp is about one mile from the North Percy summit and available to all on first come first serve, so looks like that will work fine for our purposes! :)
Has anyone, or does anyone have any advice on campsites (other than the Percy Camp Site) right on or about right on the North Percy Summit. Never been up there, not sure how much scrub, trees, flats etc. there might be. Feel free to PM me. Thanks.
Our journey through New Hampshire’s 52 With a View list continued this week with hikes up Stinson and Israel. Janelle and I had fine weather on Thursday as we made our way out to Rumney for the hike up 2,900 foot Stinson. On Sunday, however, the heat was on and the relentless Wentworth Trail up...
An epic Pemi Lowland Traverse takes us through Stillwater. And we discover the "joy" of Shoal Pond Trail.

What do boy scouts, a Chinese church group and a firefighter all have in common? Answer: they have all been beaten by the Belknaps. We decided to spend a day aimlessly wandering through this range. Here's what we found.

Thanks Jay! And yes, Rickie, George is unreal. As he made his way up the final 20 percent incline to the finish line, people started cheering and walking along side of him. It was a beautiful moment and a very special place!
