Alan, Possibly a step up ring (very inexpensive) with a slightly larger filter may help. You would need a larger lens cap as well. This will add a little bulk to your set up but not too bad. If you use a lens shade it would no longer fit. -Tony

I was on Fall River Road this past September with a Nissan Versa 2 wheel drive. No problem at all. That is really some drive. Like hiking with your car. Very cool! We got a very early start, drove over to Grand Lake and back Trail Ridge Road. Took all day with many, many photo stops of course...

All very true Doug. We stayed just outside (a mile maybe) the Fall River entrance west of Estes Park to avoid traffic. I didn't find the traffic in town much of a problem at all as I was warned about for September. Great place!

We like the Estes Park area of the park but that's where I've been mostly. Hallet and Flattop are great hikes with many others from that side of the park. If you can wait until September the Elk are in rut. All over the place and real close! Check some pics from our trip this past year. Great...

Great pics and report. I was up there the first summer they let hikers back after the eruption. Amazing the amount of damage to the landscape. I've seen that it is coming back... slowly.
