We had a hard time finding North Kennebago in the summer (took us 2 attempts to find the cannister). I can only imagine what it's in winter :eek: Great trip report!

I was told of mountain lion sightings in the Sandwich/Wonalancet area of NH in the late 90's. I'm not too surprised to hear of more, especially knowing as we do that a male cougar can wander from the Dakotas to CT..... Keep those cards and letters coming :D and TYVM Stan :)

I'm surprised that no one has voiced my favorite conspiracy theory yet regarding NE cougars..... It's obvious to me that cougars with genes from South America but found in the Northeast weren't household pets..... No...... they were abducted by aliens with the collusion of the CIA/DEC/etc and...

Hikers are weirdos ...... :eek: :) :D They go out into the woods in all kinds of weather and play in the mud, bugs or no bugs.....

I got bit by a black fly on my belly button last weekend and that was a PITA.... I can only what a black fly bite would feel like on my _____ :eek: Naked hiking...... no thank you! I guess it takes all kinds to make a world :rolleyes:
