    Black Diamond Z Poles

Saw these poles last weekend while visiting a friend on the AT. Amazing how light they are and how small they pack!! I was impressed! Until I realized you couldn't lengthen them for water crossings.......so, I'm out. (I've had the same poles since 2002........really attatched to them now...

Thank you so much first for your reply and second for the great trailwork that was done on Sphinx trail (it's clear sailing)!! I had a sinking feeling around 9pm last night that the hike we had planned for today was going to be blowdown hell, but after checking this site this morning, I knew...

    Sphinx/Great Gulf trail status??

Anyone have up to date info on the Sphinx trail and the Great Gulf trail? Doing a little research and I find that on 9/4/11 Sphinx had significant blowdown and washout damage............. and as of 9/20/11 Great Gulf had a 600 ft section of trail destroyed by landslide. (I am assuming this is...

    Vermont-worcester range

Definately a beautiful hike, I think around 14 miles or so for Worcester, Hogback and Hunger. We prob. stayed at Little River Campground, (though I can't remember for sure) but you'd be really close to Stowe and all of its $$ lodging options.....and really good food!

    Sawteeth area

Hello!! I don't think I have the ADK NG map, and if I do, I can't find it!! When we did that loop a few years back, I'm pretty sure we went up the Weld Trail, did and out and back to Sawteeth, then continued over Gothics, Armstrong, Upper and Lower Wolfjaws and then went down the trail between...

    When do the roads open?

Saw a work truck at the begining of Tripoli Rd today, looks like they were patching potholes..........as there was a lot of tar all over the road.......throw it down and let the cars pack it in, I guess :)

    52 WAV patch?

I have never seen a 52WAV patch, but there are a couple other kid friendly lists that would earn them a patch........one being the Belknap Mtns. in the Gilford area http://www.belknapsportsmensclub.com/hiking.php and another being the NH Firetower list (Belknap Mtn. is on both lists!!) Very kid...
