    Lincoln Brews & Vittles

Review of Brenda's Kitchen & Skeets Pub: Smaller version of the old Mooseland Grill - more locals than tourists - pool table - no smoking - bottled beer - Tuckerman's - popcorn machine - great seafood - best pizza in Twin Mountain area - open 7 days a week - bar with @ 8 stools - 8 or so tables...

    Lincoln Brews & Vittles

Great idea Dennis! Lincoln would be much more centrally located to attract a larger audience. But if the current Ashland gang doesn't want to change, then instead of Lincoln perhaps just have a second one each month at Skeets Pub right in Twin Mountain! With the Pool table it can be a fun night.

    VFTT Sticker Sighting

Did a trail race yesterday so stayed home this weekend. Started the hike at 1:30 - Wapack to Pack, and North Pack, then returned using the Cliff trail, Wapack, and Davis. Got back just as it was starting to get dark - some nice views of the sun lighting the clouds on the way down.

    Winter Hiking Boots Recommendations

Started Winter hiking with the Ice Dragons - good warm boot. But after 2 years graduated to plastic in order to wear stepin crampons. Used those for 2 years before switching to La Sportiva Nepal's which I used for the past 2 years. (Bob) The La Sportiva's are every bit as warm as the plastics...

Logging Road Ascent of Mt Redington - 08-01-2010

Didn't take any photos, but when Tim Lucia, I and others were there this Summer (3rd week in July), we descended via the logging road and saw Cairns at all turns and even a few along the logging road. Maybe Tim snapped a few photos of them?

    Road closures

Very easy crossings - think there are only 2 bridges you have to deal with. Remember crossing on the left side of one and the right side of the other. Neither were difficult. They do not plow the south lot in Winter, so you need to park at Trudeau Rd and walkd down if there is snow.
