Part of the Wapack trail goes through Windblown x/c ski center and they require snowshoes or skis on all their trails. I think they even make you buy a trail pass.

You could also go all the way to the summit and take a shuttle bus back to pinkham.

Thanks for this suggestion. My wife and I went up this afternoon and had a good time. Lots of snow so we snowshoed part of the wapack trail. By the way, Their website snow conditions are dead on accurate.

My first pair of snowshoes just came in UPS today. I got the 30" tubbs altitude with the td-91 binding from campmor.
