Team Dom attempts Denali May 21 - June 10th

Lloyd's wife emailed me a couple of hours ago w/ news that they are at base camp waiting for the plane... sounds like weather may delay pickup, but then the phone cut out.

Hi Christine - Thanks for being the point person. Excellent idea to use this forum for updates - even immediate family have relied on your posts for info, due to the erratic phone reception/transmission. And I agree with SherpaK (hey dude) that the priority is knowing that everyone is OK. Hope...

Mean Girls tag the Brothers- March 15th-17th, 2008

Well girls, looks like we have a full team of flies and cabin boys at our service for next time! Amazing fun with you all - Donna gets the stiff upper lip award for NOT making it to Coe once again (the slide route is the best way to get there in winter it seems) because she can have fun doing...

Mt. Coe Trail to South Brother via Marsten

Skimom told the tale to N. Brother via Marsten. MEB, Little Sister, Hot Donna and I went off to S. Brother. Much wandering on our part as well, but finally made it to S. Brother. If you are headed that way, keep taking the leftmost and uphill options to get to S. Brother... but then again, our...

Timmus 48s aka Moosilauke Cocktail Party

I think both Hamtero and I have 3 to go (One of mine is Mt. Tom how funny is that?!) - never been motivated to do the list thing, but now this is incentive! Hmmm, let me see... Lene Lovich had a look...

Timmus 48s aka Moosilauke Cocktail Party

Hey Jules - So sorry I didn't make it - tough timing after a tough week.... I did have my leopard skin dress and tights all ready to go though. I put them on anyway in your honor, and sipped some wine. Congrats! Look forward to celebrating the next milestone!

Flume, Liberty and Owl's Head, July 7th 2007

Hey Jules - Nice work! And I'm glad the grouse didn't go after you - they can be brutally aggressive especially with chicks around (I got attacked once just riding by the woods on a road bike)! Sue

    Vose Spur/Carrigain 1/20/07

Hey giggy - where did you all hike? thanks for looking for us! Mtn runner: this was my first time on Vose, so can't say which direction is easier/harder - going down the steep stuff has perhaps even more challenges/pitfalls than climbing, but Frodo said he didn't know of anyone who had done...

    Vose Spur/Carrigain 1/20/07

After meeting in Plymouth at 5 am (5:10 actually – a few white out squalls slowed down the driving progress a bit) Frodo, Hamtero, NH_Mt_Hiker and I decided we’d spot a car at Nancy Pond Trailhead, hoping we’d have enough time to complete a point-to-point via Desolation and Nancy Pond Trail...

Shrewsbury Peak, Little Killington & Killington, Sunday January 7, 2007

Thanks for the reply! We would (if this is the plan chosen!) probably be coming in from the route 100 side...the other end of the CCC road between Woodward reservoir and Balck Pond - know anything ab out that side?

Shrewsbury Peak, Little Killington & Killington, Sunday January 7, 2007

una_dogger - great hike! Thinking about doing this same route this weekend! If the gate in CCC is closed, how long a hike is it to the trailhead from the gate? Is there a place to park near the gate if it is closed? Thanks, Sue

Baxter and Hamlin Peaks via Chimney Pond

ps - Frodo's "too much crap" was the climbing gear we might have used to do the knife edge... thanks for lugging all of that up and down!!

Baxter and Hamlin Peaks via Chimney Pond

Wowee, what fun! So we weren't actually with the group from PA, just bumped into them a couple of times. They stayed in the lean-tos... fortunately, they were prepared for camping in the lean-tos at Chimney Pond, so had (hopefully!) warm enough camping gear. Seems the above treeline experience...
