Where to stay and party in Stratham, NH

Looks like Portsmouth will be the place. Thanks all for the information. Albee, the FTFC is the AMC's Four Thousand Footer Club and they hold their annual meeting every April. There's a pizza dinner and then a presentation of awards for the people who completed one or all of the following...

Where to stay and party in Stratham, NH

I know, I know...I'm early but I'm starting to make plans for the FTFC banquet in April and could not help but notice by checking the maps that Stratham seems to be a fairly small town (not that there's anything wrong with that). For the people who attend these events, where do you typically...

Well, it's 17 miles (excluding Marcy) so I would suggest leaving no later then 7am. How about 6am? Harry, you forgot to include Tabletop and Phelps on the way out. ;) Remind me to buy a stuffed rabbit to carry along and I'll do my Pinpin impression. :D :D

    Torngat Mountains web site

Very interesting site! Great job! Thanks for sharing PB! The Torngats are definitely on my wish list too. I've done the Groulx Mountains range in northern Quebec in 2003 and that really got me interested in exploring the peakbagging further north.

    Tubbs Bear Hug Binding?

Change in policy It is no longer Tubbs policy to accomodate customer request to change bindings model. I have a pair of Mountain 25 that I just sent for repair last week with a broken RCS binding. I asked them if they could replace with the TD91 instead and they refused. :(

    Rescue

From what I heard, the guy fell 300 feet down the Trap Dike. One of his boot was found planted on a tree with his crampon still on. He lost his backpack in the fall and it was not found. He survived and apparently did not even break a single bone.

Tips on visiting Glacier National Park

My girlfriend and I spent 10 days in GNP in August last year and it was a memorable experience despite the fact that half the park was closed due to forest fires. The scenery is spectacular and the hiking options are almost endless. If you are interested in backpacking I would recommand reading...

    Maine & Canada Peaks

My guess for mystery mountain #2 is Salmon Mountain and in the background you have the 3 peaks of Mont Mégantic park (Mégantic, St-Joseph and Victoria).

    Twist and shout

Méo, I have strained my ankle grade 2 once before and Nat also had a grade 2 knee strain last year. The secret for a full recovery is to take it gradually. I think you will have no problem making your late December trip if you give your ankle 3-4 weeks of complete rest and then start testing...
