    Wildcat Ridge Routes

When we did A and D for last years Flags on the 48 we used the Wildcat Ridge Trail to the top then used the ski trails down. It took us a lot less time to go down by using the ski trails. I dont think I would want to use them on the way up.

    Anyone done Caps Ridge recently?

My hiking group is thinking about doing this trail on Labor Day and was wondering if anyone has any insight on what to expect. Anyone been up there recently. With gas prices the way they are this may be my only hiking trip this fall so I want to make it good.

    Trail Question in Southern NH

Hi my friend told me about a trail that runs from Derry NH to Portsmouth NH. It supposedly runs along an old railroad grade and runs near Lake Massabessic. I am guessing around 60 miles long. Any information would be greatly appreciated--even the name of the trail would be great. Thanks

    Cannon Mtn. Tram, Hiker Friendly?

But you can hike up the normal trail and come down on the tram. There is really no reason to use the ski trails. Though I think they would be much less steep. You can buy tickets up top or just buy one at the bottom and use it on the way down.

New Moose Warning for I-93 Franconia

My first hike this season up to the Hancocks we saw two moose on the road. The first one I saw some mud on the road in a rather straight line. As nature abhors uniformity I told the guy driving to slow down as it might be something and sure enough it was a moose trotting down the road. the...
