    Two of my regular hiking partners both have Raynaud's and are extremely susceptible to chilled hands and feet. They both swear by the Black Diamond Mercury Mitt. I have a pair myself and they are totally bomb proof and incredibly warm. Hope this helps.

    Ladders on Osceo trail

    Osseo ladders I went up and down this past Saturday. Unfortunately, they are almost completely covered in snow and ice. However, this gives me a great excuse to hike this wonderful trail again in a couple of weeks.

    Franconia Ridge Trail Question

    I was on the ridge this past Saturday, 3/24. Although I came up falling waters, I met a group of three who spent Friday night @ Liberty Springs. They said the ridge trail from Springs Junction to Haystack was well consolidated with spotty drifting. Hope this helps.

    Best Places to butt slide

    The best I've seen in a long time is The Avalon Trail from the junction with the Willey Range Trail. Just a long continuous pitch. And there is a ton of snow up there right now.
