Biggest D'oh "That Was Stupid" Moment

Was going to head up Techumseh after church one Saturday. Thought we had everything in the car and ready to go. We ate on the way to save time. When we got to the trail head, I asked my daughter where her hiking boots were. She realized she had forgotten them. As I was ranting to her about...

    Welch Dickie Trail

Did Welch and Dickie on Saturday. Was a beautiful day. The rocks were 1/2 and 1/2 from all the rain and parts were slippery. Would advise good hiking shoes for this hike. It has alot of rock slabs that can be quite slippery. Color was starting but the next couple of weeks should be amazing.

    hiking with little ones

re little ones I know how that can go but I usually put a front pack filled with crackers or something they like and I always have a "special treat" for the top. It's usually a lolly pop or something. I remember the first time my other 2 did the Bonds. We were ontop of Bond at sunset...

Anyone out there hiking with their young one and want company? I have a 3 year old who I have been taking out for short hikes. He loves it and probably would like it more if he had company more around his age level.

    The Nubble

Has anyone hiked this lately? It's the smaller peak below peak above the nubble. I know it has another name but can't remember right now. I haven't hiked it in a while and want to go there when the leaves start to changed but wonder if the "path" is still somewhat noticable.
