    Floatplanes in Wilderness

    New bridge over Marcy Brook

    DEC intends to build a new bridge over Marcy Brook this year, between the Squirrel Crossing and Marcy Dam. No decision yet on whether to rebuild the dam and/or bridge at Marcy Dam. You can read details here.

    The Deer Brook Trail and one of the crossover trails in the AMR are now open. DEC has no plans to open others this year. The few remaining "closed" trails on state land can be used by people, but they will not be maintained or patrolled. Click here for details.
