    Chocorua loop?

    Ok...sounds like a GREAT HIKE!!! And I'll watch for that sign when heading off the summit...we're doing that awesome sounding loop that SHOULD get us back to the piper trailhead. Now...how to FIND that trailhead. The book isn't really clear. Is it RIGHT OFF Rte 16...or off of a side road off...

    GREAT INFO!!! Thanks! Actually, that loop was what we were looking at doing...now, we know it's a good one! And, as for time...he he...we are early birds. We usually get UP by 2 am to get to the trailhead by 6 am...looks like about 5 miles to the summit...puts us there around 10 - 1030ish...

    Hi all... Heard this weekend about a new "connector" trail on Saddleback (maine) that would be for hikers, snowmobilers, etc. Any further info out there...like, with a map? I googled it...found lots of articles...but not much info I could use to actually hike it... Thanks for the info.

    I think its a shame...it was such a neat thing to see from W. Peak and the Horn...especially when thinking about the history... Anyway... Hoping to hike there SOON...any trail conditions? Or...is the road opened yet?

    Lodging for the Awards Dinner

    Cool...that was the plan...drop off the kidos at mom's on Fri after work...drive (3 hrs I think) to our destination...and not come home till Sunday night! Any suggestions on hotels? Or just the typical Holiday Inn, Super 8 type thing?

    Hi all Heading to Strathum, NH on April 9th for the AWARDS DINNER!! Looking for lodging in the area. Went online...but, don't need anything fancy, just clean, a fridge, cable (we don't have this at home...it's fun to get when we DO go out), and maybe a microwave. Any suggestions? Thanks.

    Jefferson Via Jewell Trail 12/19/10

    We did Monroe, Eisenhower, and Pierce on Sat...cloudy and not much to see until we hit Monroe...the, the sky graced us with blue, sun and AWESOME clouds...when we hit Pierce...the clouds and snow came back. it was an AWESOME DAY TO HIKE!!
