Awesome trip report and pics... We did baldpate THREE times before we got both peaks...actually, took us two to just get the 1st one...then two more to get the 2nd one...I guess that's what happens when you hike in the winter...and don't have crampons:D

We weren't really aware of this avalanche when we hiked to Monroe via the ammo...we ended up unable to follow the trail...ended up following ski tracks up... and ended up WWWWWAAAAYYYYY off track (actually, about a mile to the LEFT of the hut). it was REALLY something to see!!!
