    Rocky and Lone...underestimated again!

Terri, Matt, At least you had each other to share the wrong direction turnaround. Always a better trip with a friend. Sounds like you both had a good trip anyway. Sounds very similar to a trip a few weeks ago when Zero-G and I got turned around coming off Southwest Hunter and were heading...

Hey there Motabobo, I just purchased the e-Trex Vista C. I went with the smaller unit as opposed to the 60CS. Was about $100 cheaper. Seems to have all the needed features. This is my first GPS so it will be a starting point and learning experience. Thanks to all on this thread for...

    Camp Ice Rider strap-on crampons

I am using them for general mountaineering. The boot I am using is the Columbia Bugabootoo. The crampons fit with no slop and the straps cinch up and stay tight. With this particular boot I could not ask for a better fit. I have seen some boot / crampon combinations that really do not look...

    Camp Ice Rider strap-on crampons

Used my new Camp Ice Rider's this past weekend. When I first received them I was afraid they were a little to much crampon, but after hiking thru a lot of ice, I was very pleased with their performance. They certainly look like they will hold up very well. Found them to be a little...
