Date of Hike: 09/19/2009

Note: I tried to access Abraham from the West Kingfield Road/Rapid Stream Road. Two small blowdowns were removed by me. I encountered a third unmanageable one and turned around. All blowdowns were on Rapid Stream. The Maine Warden Service has been contacted.

Trails: Maintenance Road, Sugarloaf Spur, AT, Spaulding Spur

Trail Conditions: Gravely, Windy, Cold, Rimy

Special Equipment Required: Winter Clothing

Comments: In the morning, I wore my winter jacket, pants, facemask, hat, and gloves. Winds calmed and sun came out later. Viewpoint SE near the junction of AT and Sugarloaf Spur. Pink flagged path before Spaulding Spur up Spaulding. Occluded views North and South on Spaulding Summit.
