Conditions: Gate still open, got to the summer trailhead in Subaru w/snow tires.
Snow cover thin but consistent with a frozen base all the way in to blueberry LT. Skis would be little use with the current snow conditions.
Wore microspikes to the leantos, then MSR snowshoes round trip to Seymour. The herd path was snow covered on the way up but the descent saw a lot of the snow get scraped off. The herd path might be starting to get a little icy (but only for the descent).
Big thanks to the trail maintenance angels who went through (within the last 2 weeks) and cut all the blowdown between the parking lot and the ward brook truck trail (probably 20+ large pieces of blowdown!)
