10-29-05 Hedgehog Mtn

It was a great day to take a hike in the snow! I have next to no hiking experience with mtn snow hiking, so off we went to a small mtn with easy climbing...Hedgehog Mtn. At 2500 ft it was a perfect height to get a taste of winter and a taste of some very nice views. Up to 12 inches in the shade was present at the top! It was melting fast though. Here are A TON of pics if anyone is interested....it was an easy hike so I was snappin photos left and right.

Wow! Its prob all gone now! I was seriously postholing thru some snow esp in the shade! Oh well, winter will be here soon.

Nice pictures, grouseking! Hedgehog was my first hike in the White Mountains, so I have fond memories of it. The views up to Chocoroua are awesome, and bonus points that it's a loop trail.
