With the high wind forecast, dougeh and I have decided on Passaconaway for this hike. We're meeting at Ferncroft at 9am, heading up the Diceys Mill Tr to the summit. Our speed is about 1.25 mph.
For the descent:
A(mbitious) plan - Walden Tr to Square Ledge Tr, over Square Ledge, down Old Mast Rd
B(ushwhack) plan - Walden Tr to col of Nanamocamuck/Hibbard then follow route of old trail through the (hopefully) open woods and drainage to Diceys.
C(onservative) plan - Walden Tr, over Wonalancet Hedgehog, to Old Mast Rd
Route of descent will be decided on how we feel when we are on the summit. Oh, and I don't plan to add the .6 mi round trip to the southern outlook, but do plan to head over to the other summit outlooks.
The (approximate) Stats:
A - 10.1mi/3450'
B - 9 mi/3200'
C - 9.4 mi/3350'
